Lost

Everyone knows that my husband & I are huge 'Lost' fans! So when we got a chance to volunteer, we were all over it! Our job for the night was to help with security but to be honest, we were extra bodies just standing around. Our post was by the check in area & all I did was basically greet everyone. I loved being where I was because we saw everyone that came through; the cast, crew, ABC executives and sponsors. Dog the Bounty Hunter & Beth even showed their faces.

When we did finally get to join the party, we were able to get to meet & talk with some of the cast. Harold Perineau (Michael) & Emilie de Raven (Claire) left early. From what I saw, Emilie was not the one that liked to be noticed. When she came in & even when I spoke to her, her head was down & very few words came out. So let me tell you who I thought was awesome & who disappointed me.

The first person we met was Terry O'Quinn (Locke). It just so happens that Brandon made Chief with a guy that ended up being Terry's nephew. He saw Brandon & started talking with him & said that he would introduce us. Terry was such a nice guy and for that moment was focused on us.

I also got my picture with Ken Leung (Miles), Nestor Carbonell (Richard), Jorge Garcia (Hurley) & 3 other people that I am going to talk about. Daniel Dae Kim (Jin) & Yunjin Kim (Sun) were there but I was unable to speak with them. Not because they weren't approachable but because the timing wasn't right.

The first person that I want to speak about is Michael Emerson (Ben). What an incredible talented person he is. After we took our picture together, he was one of the three that took time to make small talk with me. He's not hung up by his fame, just someone down to earth that loves what he is doing.

The highlight of my night was seeing Josh Holloway (Sawyer). Seems everyone I know here in Hawaii has seen him around town. I will have either just missed him, left a place & then he will show up or he would just be around the corner, always out of arms reach. I was sad when he didn't show his face during the red carpet, thinking that he wasn't going to come. Fortunately, he showed up late. After finally getting to meet who I came here to see, we were ready to go home.

The biggest disappointments were Evangeline Lilly (Kate) & Matthew Fox (Jack). Evangeline was non-approachable & did not want to talk to you if you weren't someone special. She was gorgeous & breath taking but her demeanor made her look . . . how can I put this in a nice way? She's a JERK! She even went as far as to put on this tacky long blonde wig & change her clothes, in hopes that no one would recognize her. Hello! It's an after party, only certain people are invited.

My best friend, who I will call Delany, has told me about how rude & self-centered Matthew can be, but I had hoped she was wrong. I could see it in the way he carried himself that he just doesn't have time for small people, like myself. He did however, take a picture with me but he was not looking at the camera at all; his head was not even facing the camera. His eyes were always on his wife. Now I will say one good thing about him, just ONE! He is very much in love with his wife. As Delany told me, he is a family man who utterly adores his wife. And yes, you could definitely see it. If you ever see him out & about, be very weary of approaching him, for he just might give you the stink eye!

In all, I had a fantastic night & am so grateful that I got to be a part of it. The show has been my favorite ever since it has been on & I will be very sad to see it end. So, to the cast & crew, mahalo for something that kept us wanting more!
